'Self-Laundering. A Critical Analysis of the Justification of Its Criminal Wrongfulness': This study examines the criminalisation of self-laundering under German law in the context of European and international developments. It analyses whether punishing offenders for dealing with assets derived from their own crimes can be justified as an independent criminal wrong and, if so, to what extent. The study identifies significant shortcomings in the current rationale for criminal liability and develops an approach to a more precise, legal-interest-based limitation of the offence.
