Recht und Haltung

In a world shaken by crises, calls to stand up for one's own values and convictions are commonplace. Lawyers, too, are more and more openly acknowledging, if not embracing, the fact that their personal convictions shape their work. They openly view the law as an instrument for improving the world, though they understand this to mean very different things. This volume builds on this observation and asks what role such convictions play in the practice and scholarship of law, what role they can or should play, and what attitude is legitimate or even necessary for lawyers.
