¿La Femme libre¿, die erste feministische Zeitschrift Frankreichs, erscheint 1832 in Paris. Ihre Gründerinnen, die sich selbst proletarische Frauen nannten, ergriffen selbstbewusst das Wort: 'Ich', sagten sie, 'Ich bin' und 'Ich bin frei'. Gemeinsam, nicht immer und nicht in allem einig, aber in vereinter Anstrengung schöpften sie aus dem Wort Frau, aus den müden Körpern ihrer Mütter, aus der Kraft ihrer Jugend ein politisches Subjekt. Die Entrechtung der Frauen beschrieben sie als Ausbeutung und die Unfreiheit der Mütter als Enteignung. Wenn man die Frauen befreie, behaupteten sie, würden alle frei.
Später allerdings kehrte die Arbeiterbewegung diesen Zusammenhang um und erklärte die Emanzipation der Frauen zum Sekundärproblem. Nachgeborene Feministinnen ihrerseits haderten mit der Bedeutung, die diese Frauen der Mutterschaft, der Natur und der Religion beimaßen.
Caroline Arni erzählt die Geschichte der 'Saint-Simonistinnen' und legt die Radikalität eines Denkens frei, das die mütterliche Abstammung zum Ausgangspunkt einer Theorie der Gleichheit machte.

La Storia

Nachdem der Dachstuhl und das Dach unserer Kirche in den Jahren unter Pfarrerin Eva Fitschen von Grund auf erneuert wurden, nachdem ebenso unsere St. Lukas-Kirche Krippehna, schon von außen wieder ordentlich aussieht, verputzt und stilgerecht gemalert, nachdem neue große Fenster im Schiff eingesetzt wurden, nachdem die Hähnel-Orgel wieder restauriert wurde und die Kantoren in den Sommermonaten darauf begeistert Konzerte spielen, haben wir uns überlegt, etwas zum Innenleben unserer Kirche zu veröffentlichen, um zu zeigen, dass wir einen Kirchenraum geschaffen haben, der für mancherlei Veranstaltungen bestens geeignet ist. Wir wollen unseren Gästen die alten, älteren und neuen Glaubenszeugnisse aus den Jahrhunderten nahebringen. "Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe!" steht im Bogen zum Altarraum. Dabei soll es bleiben. Ein Festeinband mit zahlreichen farbigen Illustrationen und Fotografien.

Volume II covers reform and development of tripartite governance from 1979-2025. Pan-Africanism has been a global project aiming to unite people of African descent since the late nineteenth century. Notions of Black and African arts and aesthetics have functioned as a bridge and brought positive identification across national, ethnic, or class divides even when rifts have appeared unbridgeable. They were able to mediate Africanity positively, both prior to and during the struggle for liberation and at times when the dream of a unified African nation died. This study explores central aspects, proponents, and opponents of Pan-African aesthetics and shows that conceptualizations of Black, African, and Afrocentric aesthetics form a kaleidoscope that is constantly changing. Based on historical sources, in-depth reading and qualitative interviews, the study illustrates what happened to the discussions in the postcolonial era. The story unfolds along the life paths and approaches of four intellectuals from Anglophone and Francophone Africa. Their framings can tell us more about the underlying themes, contestations, and contradictions of emancipatory projects in the mid-twentieth century and show us that the study of Pan-Africanism is not yet exhausted; neither is the history of the idea and the movement.

Hiermit wird der sich gleichsam schrittweise vollziehende Ubergang von einem traditionell standischen oder gar furstlich-absolutistischen zu einem zumeist monarchisch-konstitutionellen System aufgearbeitet, dessen jaher Untergang schlielich in die nationalstaatlich-republikanisch gepragte demokratisch-parlamentarische Staatsform Weimars mundet. Mit dem Gesamtwerk steht dem Fachpublikum eine leicht zugangliche, bislang nicht gekannte Fulle von Dokumenten zur Verfugung, die fur die verfassungsrechtliche Entwicklung Deutschlands und seiner einzelnen Staaten von zentraler Bedeutung waren. Dabei wird groer Wert auf die authentische, d. h. buchstaben- und zeichengetreue Ubernahme der Texte gelegt. Dem jeweiligen Dokumententeil sind in jedem Band "Historische Einfuhrungen" vorangestellt. At the same time, Spain and Portugal were emerging as ever more popular holiday destinations for West European tourists. This book analyzes how tourism shaped the relations between West European democracies and the Iberian regimes: Government officials and entrepreneurs established touristic infrastructures, travel writers addressed the tension between visitors' leisure and locals' oppression, activists called for a boycott of tourism to the authoritarian regimes. In a period shaped by the Cold War, tourism turned the Iberian regimes into Europe's favourite dictatorships.&nbsp;
