Low-cost and the development of the tourism sector in Eastern Morocco

Nowadays, air transport is considered as an important actor in the economic development in general and in the tourist development in particular. As the Oriental region is a priority in terms of infrastructure development since the royal speech in 2003, it is endowed with a new terminal (Airport) which was put into service on December 7, 2010. The realization of this new infrastructure is part of the investment program of the ONDA, in response to the need to increase the reception capacity in order to accompany the dynamism and the tourist development.
