Ius Gentium: Comparative Perspectives on Law and Justice

&lt;p&gt;Is there universalism of human rights? If so, what are its scope and limits? This book is a doctrinal attempt to define universalism of human rights, as well as its scope and limits. The book presents tests of universalism on international, regional and national constitutional levels. It is maintained that universalism of human rights is both a ‘concept’ and a ‘normative reality’. The normative character of human rights is scrutinized through the study of international and regional agreements as well as national constitutions. As a consequence, limitations of normativity are identified, usually on the international level, and take the form of exceptions, reservations, and interpretations.  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The book is based on the General and National Reports which were originally presented at the 18th International Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law in Washington D.C. 2010.&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Studies in the past have mostly focused on the negative consequences of job stress on employees' innovative work behavior i.e. how job demands and job stress result in lower behavioral performances and job outcomes. However, this relationship may also be affirmative as employees may innovate in order to handle job stress resulting from the existence of high level job demands.Innovative work behavior is a construct related to competitive advantage, economic development and success at organizational level, advancement in technology has compelled organizations to be innovative and embrace the change. Organizations are increasing job demands on employees to make them fabricate and execute novel ideas.

Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensethik, Wirtschaftsethik, Note: 2,3, IU Internationale Hochschule, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Ausführungen in dieser Bachelorarbeit betrachten die Corporate Social Responsibility-Strategien in der zivilen Luftfahrt. Es wird hinterfragt, wie CSR-Strategien von vier Fluggesellschaften gestaltet werden und wie sie im Vergleich miteinander bestehen. Die Forschungsfragen, die in dieser Arbeit beantwortet werden sollen, sind zum einen, welche Kriterien für einen Vergleich von Fluglinien mit unterschiedlichen Geschäftsmodellen gewählt werden können, und zum anderen, wie sie dabei in einem Vergleich bestehen. Dabei wurden luftfahrtrelevante CSR-Aktivitäten der drei Dimensionen ökologisch, sozial und ökonomisch gewählt. In einer Analyse der Handlungsfelder wurden diese Bereiche gewichtet und mit Punkten bewertet. Als wichtigstes Ergebnis kann vorweggenommen werden, dass die CSR-Engagements von Low-Cost-Airlines nicht zwingend erheblich schlechter eingestuft werden müssen als die der Netzwerk-Airlines.

Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2010 in the subject Law - Public Law / Miscellaneous, , language: English, abstract: This Study concerns itself with the Turkish constitutional developments from Ottoman times to the present state of the modern Turkish Republic.In this way, the historical constitutional experience of the Turkish society will be presented compactly. To this end, first a general overview of Turkish history of law is to be given. The constitutional developments are hereby pointed out from the Ottoman State to the today's Turkish Republic, whereby the respective constitution laws are presented content together. A comparative method will be pursued at this point. Then an introduction is given into the Turkish constitutional amendments in the frame of the EU full membership of Turkey whereby the meaning of these constitutional amendments is shown under the 1982 Constitution of Turkey. Finally, it will be shown that the Turkish people can entirely make a new constitution with only their own natural inner dynamics. The Turkish society, with its rich constitutional experience and its advanced level of development is in a position to do so easily.

Constitutional Developments Of Turkey Since Ottoman Times To The Present State Of The Modern Turkish Republic

Seminar paper from the year 2003 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: very good, University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (International Management), course: Seminar Final, language: English, abstract: This paper shows the results of a survey on the China activities of Swiss manufacturing companies up to 4000 employees, conducted by two students of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in 2003.Throughout the past three years, China has become the number one country for investment, attracting more FDI than the USA. How do Switzerland’s traditionally export-oriented manufacturing companies see this situation? How do they react? Do they buy Chinese companies?New laws allow foreign companies to acquire Chinese enterprises. Through telephone interviews we collected information on the current activities and future plans of 37 Swiss manufacturing companies in China. Out of this sample we selected 18 firms to learn more about their China strategies. We found 6 companies which have experience with M&amp;A in China.The surveys revealed the following key findings:The Chinese market is significantly important for Swiss exporting but also for Swiss importing manufacturers. At the same time, it is a very challenging  market which requires profound preparations and research before entering and careful monitoring and supervising when expanding. Especially in the machinery and equipment field, the Swiss manufacturing industry is a classical export-oriented industry with R&amp;D and production done in Switzerland, deriving out of the high tech industries which originate from the Swiss precision watch cluster. Many companies entered Chinese market in order to export their products or in order to source parts in China. As in many fields of the manufacturing industry China is still 1 to 3 generations behind Western standards, some companies developed special products for the local low-end market which they also produce locally. High-tech products are still produced and developed in Switzerland, partly to protect crucial corporate know-how, but also because Switzerland offers and optimal surrounding for this industry (ETH, EPFL, industry cluster)For more sophisticated and established companies we saw a trend to have highly independent business units for the local Chinese market in China while high-end products remain in Switzerland and are exported to Chinese customers.

An Introduction to Content Marketing

These questions have confronted the UK economy for decades without resolution by governments of the right or left. It is the failure of economics, the author argues.   Economists have long asserted that three factors of production, land, labour and capital, lie at the root of their subject. Yet in the development of the subject into theories and practical applications there has been a thorough analysis of labour and capital but a grievous omission of the factor of land. This is reflected in the minimal place it holds in modern textbooks, in popular discussion and political debate. Much of the argument about major issues, like industrial policy, the distribution of wealth and income and government policy reverts to a polarised struggle between two antagonists, labour and capital. The third factor, land, hides in the background unacknowledged yet exerting a major influence on the outcome of the whole economic process.   What needs to change, the author argues, are deeply embedded features, which have generally been established for a very long time. They are principally the taxation system, the land tenure system, and the banking system. This can be initiated through a reform of taxation.
