'Violations of the Insider Prohibitions by Legal Persons': The insider prohibitions in the Market Abuse Regulation apply not only to natural persons but also to legal persons. However, legal persons cannot act or possess knowledge themselves. For the prohibitions to apply, the conduct and knowledge that falls within their sphere must therefore be attributed to them. The author develops a concept of attribution for the insider prohibitions based autonomously on EU law.
