Technological Change in Centrally Planned Economies on the Example of the German Democratic Republic and the People¿s Republic of Poland': The focus of the work is on innovation blockades as well as achievements of selected companies in the German Democratic Republic and the People¿s Republic of Poland. Sectors, combines and national institutions are also considered. The work shows that an innovation system typical of planned economies existed in the GDR as well as Poland, although they differed in certain points from each other.
