Booger Bottom, in rural Georgia, has no road signs, no stoplights, no stores. Nobody knows how it got its name, whether from the mythical booger—part panther, part wild dog—that is rumored to have roamed there, or from the Feds (“boogers”) who raided local moonshine stills during Prohibition.
