From Chaos to Credit
Von:
Madhan, GuneetFor more than three centuries, modern finance has allowed human beings to pull tomorrow into today. Credit turns future taxes, trade, profits, wages, and growth into resources that can be used now. That ability has built states, businesses, infrastructure, and ordinary lives.
But every claim on the future creates exposure in the present. Financial systems evolve by finding new ways to distribute, conceal, price, and absorb that exposure until events reveal where it has accumulated.
Crises do not prove that credit was a mistake. They reveal the limits of the structure that carried it. Reform can strengthen that structure, but it cannot free society from uncertainty. It can only change where the next risk appears.
