Zirkuläre Stadt. Zirkuläres Bauen. Denkmalpflege?

Viewed through the lens of heritage conservation, contradictions arise in relation to an ur-gently needed turnaround in construction: for example, between the preservation of building fabric in situ and the circular concept of "urban mining" or the "circular city". At the same time, these and other concepts are united with herit-age conservation by a claim to preservation and concern for the existing building stock. Based on the results of a student project at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the articles in this volume explore the question of how herit-age conservation and circularity can be thought of together or in relation to their own strengths. A comprehensive glossary of cur-rent terms relating to the topic complements this discussion.
