Rodin Robakowski examines the relationship between a supranational legal system such as the European Union and the laws of its member states. Legal theory can provide an external point of view to examine the requirements for an autonomous legal system and the concept of normative conflicts within and between such systems. It also sets out the conditions for unified and contradiction-free legal interaction where both systems can exist without being subsumed by the other.
