La Banque Centrale du Congo a dû mettre en place en 1998 une politique de restructuration de ce système avec comme objectif de permettre aux banques d'exercer leurs activités dans un environnement sain et la mise en liquidation des banques jugées non fiables. Ce livre donne à comprendre le système bancaire congolais dans son ensemble et son histoire. Il permet d'apprécier tout autant la situation actuelle, que la liquidation des banques en difficultés entre 1998 et 2008 et la performance de ce système jusqu'en 2013 après cette restructuration.
