Corruption and anti-corruption have long been central public concerns in China, yet the organizational mechanisms through which corruption and anti-corruption operate remain poorly understood. This book takes bribery-offering by unit as its analytical entry point and combines a systematic analysis of 3,886 publicly released court records with in-depth interviews with judges, prosecutors, disciplinary and supervisory officials, and lawyers.Focusing on visible court records, the book shows how corruption is produced and normalized at the organizational level, moving beyond explanations that reduce bribery to individual moral failure or market exchange. It introduces the perspective of “invisible corruption” to explore why certain bribery practices never enter judicial proceedings. By reconstructing the cognitive frameworks and professional reasoning of legal practitioners, it analyzes how organizational bribery is understood, categorized, and processed in judicial practice, and how legal decision-making is shaped by institutional constraints, political pressures, and organizational contexts. Situated at the intersection of sociology of law, organizational studies, and corruption research, this book offers new empirical and theoretical insights into China’s anti-corruption system.&nbsp;About the Author Ting Wang

The author decided to write this pamphlet to express his disappointment with Germany. 
In particular, Germany's development over the last 20 years gives him cause for concern, frustration and, very often, anger. 
On closer inspection of our country, especially from an international perspective, it is clear that there are significant signs of social decline, be it a lack of respect, dishonesty, insincerity, or a lack of commitment to anything or anyone, which is embodied by the so-called Merkel generation in particular. 

'What do my neighbours matter to me, as long as my life and my advancement are secure?' 
Since 2005, under the governments of Angela Merkel and her successors, Germany has fallen into a deep sleep, and waking up from it will be very painful. The idiotic austerity measures at any price and the reduction of state services are based on no foundation and no reasonable economic knowledge. The so-called black zero in the budget does not exist in economic theory. 

Germany's entire infrastructure, its moral state, its social constitution and its international reputation have suffered greatly. Intolerance, racism, hatred, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia have increased significantly. Politicians can no longer get this under control, and it is now up to us, society, to stand up and put a stop to these developments. 

The future of our country and our children, our prosperity, our happiness and our position in the world depend on it. 

Against this backdrop, this book puts its finger on the wounds of today's Germany. It adresses those who question themselves and society, a book against the hypocrisy and cowardice of German society and politics.

 But this behaviour can also be found in a similar form in other Western societies.

The book offers a thorough examination of a topic that is frequently framed and seen as a major security threat on a local, national, and international scale. Inconsistent state regulations, inadequate international regulatory oversight, and misinformed policy all contribute to the complexity of the issue. It integrates empirical and substantive data and analyses with conceptual approaches to the hawala informal remittance system and its exploitation by criminal and terrorist actors.

 Joan Andrea Toledo
 is a counterterrorism expert for the Armed Forces of the Philippines. She is also an investigative journalist, covering child soldiers, women involved in terrorism, and jihadi organisations.
 Animesh Roul
 is the executive director of the New Delhi-based policy research group, Society for the Study of Peace and Conflict. He specialises in counterterrorism, radical Islam, terror financing, and armed conflict and violence in South Asia.
 Debasish Nandy
 is an associate professor and head of the Department of Political Science at Kazi Nazrul University, India. He is the coordinator of the Centre for Studies of South and South-East Asian Societies at the same university.
