Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Bundesrechnungshof': To celebrate the 75-year founding anniversary of the Bundesrechnungshof, Germany's Supreme Audit Institution, this anthology analyses public sector auditing from an interdisciplinary perspective. The articles examine how the Bundesrechnungshof developed from a traditional public audit institution to a valuable advisor of parliament and government. Based on this functional understanding, the authors discuss current challenges such as how to tackle record-high federal debt, disinformation and long-overdue reforms of the public sector.
