It becomes clear that neither the writer Karl May nor the actor Bud Spencer can be adequately understood without their Christian self-image. The anti-Christian self-image of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche or the philosopher Ayn Rand also requires theological explanation. And even the television series 'Vikings' can be illuminated from a church history perspective, and the band 'Böhse Onkelz' from a diaconal science perspective. 
Once again, it is clear that theology - which is increasingly struggling for recognition at universities - has crucial background knowledge to contribute to interdisciplinary cultural studies discourse.
