The International Encyclopaedia of Restorative Justice - North America: Canada and the United States

The North America: Canada and the United States volume of the International Encyclopaedia of Restorative Justice presents an overview and systematic analysis of restorative justice law, policy, and practice across 28 jurisdictions (13 provinces and territories in Canada and 15 states in the United States). It addresses key research questions on the integration of restorative justice within, alongside, or outside criminal justice systems. The second part of the book is comprised of 9 thematic chapters that identify common historical strands in the region, address emerging issues, highlight promising advancements, and discuss structural challenges facing restorative justice theory and practice in the region.
