Die EU nutzt vermehrt unilaterale Methoden im Bereich der Wirtschaftsregulierung um ihre Werte und Interessen über ihre Grenzen hinaus zu verbreiten. Darf sie das überhaupt und wird sie damit ihren eigenen Ansprüchen gerecht? 
Unionsrechtsakte mit extraterritorialen Wirkungen zur Menschenrechtsförderung - wie bspw. die CSDDD - unterliegen völkerrechtlichen und unionsrechtlichen Vorgaben. Diese werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit dargestellt und die neuen Instrumente der globalen Menschenrechtsförderung auf ihre Vereinbarkeit mit den Vorgaben untersucht.
Diese Arbeit analysiert moderne Regulierungsmethoden aus Sicht des klassischen Völkerrechts und verbindet dabei verschiedene Themengebiete.

This open access book examines the role played by international, regional, and national legal frameworks in holding corporations operating in the natural resource sector accountable for human rights violations in the Global South.

It develops a set of Guiding Principles on the determination of shared responsibility for multi-actor contribution to a refoulement, based on the progressive development of the law of international responsibility. The book initially explores how destination states engage with transit states and international organizations (the European Union, NATO, the United Nations and the International Organization for Migration) in refoulements. It then analyses why existing legal instruments, notably the International Law Commission’s Articles on International Responsibility and the Guiding Principles on Shared Responsibility in International Law, fail to address such complex scenarios. Building on this critique, the book proposes new Guiding Principles and demonstrates how they can be applied in practical scenarios, offering guidance for scholars, practitioners, judges and policymakers working in human rights and refugee law.

The edited volume explores the unique positionality of girls as they experience gender-based violence. While girl children are often placed under the umbrella of womanhood, their location at the intersection of femalehood and childhood places them in a unique position with regards to various forms of exploitation and violence. Feminist theories, including feminist legal theory, provide pertinent avenues to explore girls’ positionalities, yet girl children should also be contextualized in relation to their current lived experiences.
