True crime and wrongful conviction in the streaming age

Critical Criminological Perspectives

This edited collection reflects the diversity of gender-based violence and presents new perspectives and expands current scholarship in global contexts. It considers behaviours and actions including digital, interpersonal and institutional violence which are not readily understood as violence but are experienced as inherently harmful. It showcases how digital technology permeates violence and harm in diverse ways – whether this be via surveillance technology, harmful ideology or hate speech online or the globalised nature of the internet. With reflections on how people can research and challenge gender-based violence and harm in the future, it speaks to those interested in digital harm across Sociology, Criminology, Psychology, Youth Studies, Education, Law, Media and/or Cultural Studies.
Angela Wilcock is Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Sunderland, UK, as well as having a professional background with vast experience in front-line service provision, working with the most marginalised groups in society.
Helen Williams is Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Sunderland, UK. She engages in research on the state and social regulation of sex and sexuality and has published on slut-shaming, sex work and sexual violence.

In diesem 2. Briefband ? betitelt: Ärzteschriftwechsel ? setzt sich Herbert Fritsche überwiegend mit Ärzten und Heilpraktikern über die Thematik der Homöopathie auseinander. Dabei bleibt es nicht aus, dass er ? als Vertreter der reinen Lehre ? auch all das anprangert, was eben dieser zuwiderläuft. Und er geizt nicht mit klaren Worten, wenn er diese bedroht sieht. Die Briefe reichen zurück in die Zeit, in der Herbert Fritsche die Homöopathie für sich selbst entdeckt, münden in sein Erkennen der Homöopathia divina, und enden mit dem klaren Bekenntnis: „Ich glaube fest an die Zukunft der Homöopathie, ja an die Homöopathie als an die Zukunft (was meines Erachtens weit über nur Medizinisches hinausreichen wird)." 60 Briefe, die das Auf und Ab der Homöopathie in Deutschland widerspiegeln, aber auch den (noch) immerwährenden Kampf zwischen Allopathie und Homöopathie beleuchten, deren Vertreter heute wie damals aktiv sind. It is part of the self-image of liberal democracies to critically examine their own historical actions. Document editions represent an important contribution to the preservation and exploration of our societies' historical heritage, to the documentary traceability and transparency of political processes, and - through further publications - to historical enlightenment and political education. The first series of Foreign Policy Documents of the Republic of Austria 1918-1938 (ADÖ-I), initiated in 1990 by Arnold Suppan with Klaus Koch and Walter Rauscher, was completed in 2016; the 12 volumes are now also available online. This first volume marks the beginning of the second series of Foreign Policy Documents of the Republic of Austria (ADÖ-II), which covers the period after the Second World War. The volume comprises 312 documents from the archives of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs and the Austrian State Archives in a text-critical and scholarly edition, including an introduction and index. It documents the period from mid-April 1945 to the end of May 1947. The volume focuses on the re-establishment of the Republic after liberation from National Socialism, the restoration of relations with foreign countries, particularly with the four occupying and controlling powers, the safeguarding of food supplies and the territorial integrity of the country, the struggle for South Tyrol's self-determination, and the regaining of full state sovereignty through a treaty. The volume concludes with the transitional phase between the failure of the Moscow Foreign Ministers' Conference on April 24, 1947, and the announcement of the US aid program for Europe, the Marshall Plan, on June 5.
