Spectrum of the Wall Street Journal's Pulitzer Prize Stories

Awards in International and National Reporting, Editorials, Commentaries and Critiques

This volume presents key examples of Pulitzer Prize-winning Wall Street Journal articles of very different kinds. Originally the emphasis of the newspaper was gathering of economic news from around the world, and presenting it and analyzing it in a concise, clear and interesting manner. Today it is quite usual to find long features about the entertainment industry, about politics, science and other themes in its pages, so that it might be called a general newspaper. Heinz-Dietrich Fischer, EdD, PhD, is Professor Emeritus at the Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany.
