Rethinking Diversity Management in Higher Education

Curricular Development through the Extension of the Meyer-Ross Higher Education Pyramid and the Integration of an Educational Escape Room

This book focuses on the pedagogical redesign of a university course in diversity management at HTW Dresden. The focus is on developing an innovative teaching concept that systematically combines digital self-study phases, collaborative learning processes and game-based elements in the form of an educational escape room. The aim is not only to impart the theoretical foundations of diversity management to students, but also to support them in developing practical skills for dealing with diversity in professional organisational contexts. The course concept developed demonstrates how the integration of knowledge acquisition, cooperative problem-solving and application-oriented learning formats can promote sustainable skills development. The book thus contributes to the further development of modern, digitally supported and competence-oriented university teaching in the field of diversity management.
