Oswald Chambers (1874 -1917) was born in Scotland and had a teaching and preaching ministry that took him as far as the United States and Japan. He died at age 43 while serving as a chaplain to the Allied troops in Egypt during World War One. His classic devotional has been a lasting legacy for millions of Christians around the world.
