This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 16th International Symposium on Computer Music Multidisciplinary Research, CMMR 2023, held in Tokyo, Japan, during November 13–17, 2023. The 37 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 120 submissions.
