Die Komplexität des Bilanzpostens kann dazu führen, dass Unternehmen, wissentlich oder unwissentlich, gegen Rechnungslegungsstandards verstoßen. Die entsprechenden Regelungen stellen nicht nur Ersteller des Jahresabschlusses, sondern auch Abschlussprüfer vor Herausforderungen. Neben fundierten Kenntnissen der Bilanzierung erfordert die Komplexität des Bilanzpostens zusätzlich Expertise im korrespondierenden Steuerrecht. 
Das Ziel der vorliegenden Bachelorarbeit ist es, die konzeptionellen und bilanzrechtlichen Grundlagen der Steuerlatenzierung zu erläutern und eine Analyse bezüglich möglicher Bilanzierungsspielräume durchzuführen.

According to the International Trade Credit Survey of 2018, SMEs in Zambia represent 70 percent of Gross Domestic Product(GDP), 88 percent of employment and contribute 97 percent of all businesses in the economy. From a small barbershop around the corner to a woman selling tomatoes at the street corner, the categorization is the same. Like many larger enterprises, small businesses exist with a view to make a profit.The reason for this study is to give attention to these numerous SMEs. A broader analysis will enable various stakeholders to have a clearer picture of what exists on the ground. The importance of SMEs cannot be stressed enough. From providing a source to exchange skills to ensuring that big corporations do not take advantage of the masses, the existence of SMEs remains vital in the world today. SMEs play a role in the manufacture of raw materials required by big corporations. Further, they play a significant role in the supply chain by ensuring that finished products are moved to and from even targeting the most remote areas of the country.

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2019 in the subject Business economics - Review of Business Studies, grade: 1,3, Otto Beisheim School of Management Vallendar, language: English, abstract: This thesis contributes to the large literature of drivers of tax avoidance, for example tax system characteristics or the degree of tax incidence, by investigating which kind of firms drive the discovered difference in tax avoidance between countries. Thereby, it tries to answer the question which kind of firms benefit the most from common tax mechanisms and thus use them the most.By doing so, this thesis focus on firm characteristics that are not part of the tax system itself, but rather are common characteristics associated with a difference in tax avoidance. Moreover, the research is complemented by investigating some tax related country characteristics to answer the question whether the observed firm-tax avoidance correlations differ depending on certain country-specific factors. The thesis therewith further completes the explanation for the difference between the degree of tax avoidance in different countries.On January 22, 2019, the German political party Bündnis 90/Die Grünen published a study about the extent of tax avoidance in the European Union, revealing a gap between the effective tax rate paid by companies and the statutory tax rate in their home country. This gap between statutory tax rate and effective tax rate is one way of considering tax avoidance. There are other definitions as well, but overall tax avoidance can be seen as not paying the share of pre-tax income as taxes as intended by the government. In other words, tax avoidance is the attempt to legally reduce the tax burden paid to the government as much as possible.

Innovationen bei den Verkehrs-, Informations- und Telekommunikationstechnologien, sowie die Liberalisierung der internationalen Güter-, Kapital- und Arbeitsmärkte haben zur Folge, dass Produktionsfaktoren  wandern, die internationale Arbeitsteilung zunimmt und das Handelsvolumen steigt.  Die gestiegene Mobilität und der Abbau vieler Barrieren bieten grenzüberschreitend tätigen Unternehmen neue Möglichkeiten zur Steuerplanung. Aus dieser Entwicklung heraus sind in den letzten Jahren eine Reihe von Problemen erwachsen. &#13;Innerhalb der Europäischen Union (EU) werden die Gewinne multinationaler Unternehmen in jedem Land separat besteuert. Dadurch sind diese Unternehmen in der Lage, Gewinne ihrer Tochtergesellschaften durch die Manipulation von Verrechnungspreisen oder steuerlich motivierte Finanzierungsstrategien in Länder zu verschieben, in denen sie geringer besteuert werden und können somit ihre Gesamtsteuerbelastung senken. Die Konsequenz dieses Verhaltens ist ein Sinken der Steuereinnahmen der Länder, aus denen die Gewinne abfließen.  &#13;Darüber hinaus wächst der Druck auf die Regierungen, eine Abwanderung der Unternehmen in Länder mit günstigeren Steuerkonditionen zu verhindern. Innerhalb der EU bestehen große Unterschiede in den Besteuerungssystemen, Steuersätzen und Bemessungsgrundlagen, welche zu einem Steuerbelastungsgefälle führen.  Da die einzelnen Mitgliedstaaten bemüht sind, ihre Steuereinnahmen aus der Unternehmensbesteuerung zu sichern, um die Versorgung mit öffentlichen Gütern zu gewährleisten, besteht die Gefahr eines ruinösen Steuerwettbewerbs zwischen den Mitgliedstaaten, der zu einem Steuersenkungswettlauf führen könnte. Wird die Steuerpolitik als Instrument genutzt, um Kapital und Unternehmenssitze anzuziehen, sinken die Steuersätze soweit, dass im Endeffekt alle Staaten zu geringe Einnahmen verzeichnen, um öffentliche Güter in unveränderten Umfang bereitstellen zu können. &#13;Regierungen sind in der Lage Investitionsentscheidungen internationaler Unternehmen zu beeinflussen, indem sie Steuervergünstigungen für bestimmte Sektoren bieten, einen niedrigen Steuersatz.

Simplicity in taxation has considerable potential advantages. However, attempts to simplify tax systems are only likely to be successful and enduring if they take account of the reasons why taxation is complex. There are strong pressures on tax systems to accommodate a range of important factors, as well as complex and changing national and international environments within which modern tax systems have to operate. This book explores the experiences of simplification in a range of countries and jurisdictions. The authors analyse a range of manifestations of simplification, including tax systems, tax law, taxpayer communications and tax administration. They also review the longer term or more fundamental approaches to simplification, suggesting that in order to strike the optimum balance between simplicity and the aims of a tax system in terms of efficiency and equity, a range of complex environmental factors must all be taken into account. With chapters reflecting on experiences from Australia, China, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, the UK and the US, the authors illustrate differences between jurisdictions and the changing environment in which they operate.This book addresses the crucial balance between simplicity and the other objectives of tax design and reform, and suggests that reformers of the tax system should include simplicity as one of the key evaluators of any design or reform proposal.
