When Violence Strikes and Community Security Is Threatened
Following the staggering events of September 11, 2001, the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University was asked to help, by officials overseeing clean-up and recovery efforts in New York. These strategies--used successfully again and again--are now put to use in communities who have known terrorism and threatened security, whether from violence, natural disasters, or ongoing oppression.
