 Wolfgang M. Schmitt zeigt, wie uns der Film - gerade dank seiner Künstlichkeit, der Montage, Stars und Spezialeffekte - einen anderen, mit der Brille der Fiktion geschärften Blick auf die Realität und auf uns selbst eröffnet. Sein ungewöhnlicher Ratgeber ist eine Liebeserklärung an Hollywood und zugleich ein flammendes Plädoyer für ein ideologiekritisches, kontraintuitives Sehen.
