'Third-Party Funding in Arbitration': Third-party funding is a growing phenomenon in arbitration practice. There is currently no regulation of this form of litigation financing in Germany. This thesis provides a classification of the litigation financing agreement under conflict of laws and German substantive law, outlines potential conflicts of interest, compares regulatory approaches in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Nigeria, and examines whether approaches for regulation in Germany can be adopted from the compared legal systems.
