Curiosity

Curiosity transforms fear in to a question, and a question into progress.

Curiosity is today's superpower. In times of profound upheaval and uncertainty, it enables us to evolve and to gain control of our lives and organisations. We are witnessing increasingly fractious times economically and politically, but when we lean into curiosity rather than recoil in panic or freeze in fear, something powerful happens: we begin to learn.

Learning isn't about accumulating facts, information or even simply knowledge, it's about building the capacity to adapt. The skills we need today- empathy, creativity, collaboration - aren't mastered in order to subsequently be forgotten; they grow and evolve through the practice of curiosity. Each question we ask becomes a tool for navigating uncertainty, change and evolution.

In Curiosity: Nurturing your Superpower for Discovery, Joy and Success acclaimed public speaker and bestselling author Richard Gerver unifies his decades of experience in education, change, leadership and innovation to show you how you can ignite your curiosity and realise your full potential.

With his unique insight into our development from infants to adults, Gerver helps us understand the nature of our personal and professional responses to risk, change, creativity and development and how, by rediscovering our childish curiosity, we can regain a sense of control over our lives and those we impact both personally and professionally.

From opening ourselves up to failure and looking foolish, to the power of mentorship in modelling inquisitiveness, this book illustrates how curiosity is not just how we grow, it's how we connect, how we solve and how we heal. Curiosity is how we remember what it means to be human in an age of Artificial Intelligence, machines and metrics.

Curiosity won't just save us all - it will help us finally understand who we can still become.
