 Die Publikation versteht sich als Beitrag zum Diskurs über das Material Glas in der zeitgenössischen Kunst. Meist dem Kunsthandwerk oder Design zugeordnet, ist Glas in den letzten Jahrzehnten zu einem wichtigen Werkstoff der Kunst geworden. Mit Ausstellungen, wissenschaftlicher Arbeit und dem Aufbau einer Sammlung hat die Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung diese Entwicklung gefördert. Der Band präsentiert eine Auswahl von rund 50 Künstlerinnen und Künstlern unterschiedlicher geographischer und kultureller Herkunft. Sie führen die vielfältige künstlerische Praxis des Arbeitens mit dem Material Glas vor Augen: von spektakulären kleinen Objekten bis zu Installationen.
