Dazu wird der Blick auf ontologische, epistemologische, rationalitätstheoretische, moralphilosophische und ästhetische Aspekte des Lebens in einer digitalisierten Welt gerichtet. Folgende Fragen stehen dabei im Zentrum: Wie verhalten sich analoge und digitale Gegenstände zueinander? Inwiefern konstituiert die Digitalisierung eine eigene Kultur (die "Digitalität"), die von der analogen qualitativ verschieden ist? Gibt es so etwas wie eine digitale Realität und digitale Identitäten? Inwiefern lässt sich unser Denken digitalisieren und in künstliche Intelligenz transformieren? Welchen epistemischen und ontologischen Status haben künstliche neuronale Netze? Welche räumliche und zeitliche Logik liegt der Digitalisierung zugrunde? Welche Bedeutung kommt dem Internet zu, wenn es immer weiter und tiefer in unsere Lebenswelt eindringt und uns miteinander vernetzt? Welche neuen ästhetischen Ausdrucksformen bieten interaktive Computerspiele, die uns mittels Immersion in virtuelle Welten entführen? Wie muss eine Ethik der Digitalisierung verfasst sein, und wie unterscheidet sie sich von der Ethik unserer analogen Gesellschaft und Kultur? Wie können wir die digitale Informationsflut bewältigen und durch die Entwicklung von "digitalen Tugenden" Wichtiges von Unwichtigem unterscheiden lernen?
