'The Reform of EU Asylum and Refugee Law. The European Union's Proposals from 2016 on the Further Development of the Common European Asylum System': This work examines the secondary legislation proposed by the EU in 2016 to reform the Common European Asylum System (CEAS). It takes into account the history of the CEAS as well as the primary EU law and international legal requirements for its further development. The study focuses on the secondary legislation proposed by the European Commission and Parliament. Finally, the author provides an overview of the EU legal acts adopted in May 2024 that will shape the new CEAS from mid-2026 onward.
