Essay from the year 2019 in the subject Law - Civil / Private / Trade / Anti Trust Law / Business Law, grade: A+, , language: English, abstract: This paper will discuss how the Dispute Settlement System (DSS) works and the problems the system has been encountering. The paper will also discuss the problems affecting the system including adherence of the DSS to the Dispute Settlement Understanding (DSU), US domination and criticism, compliance, and constraint of resources.The Dispute Settlement Understanding is used by the World Trade Organization (WTO) as one of the supporting pillars in the multilateral trading system. The efficient resolution of disputes is the organisation’s way to contribute to global economic stability. The system is the WTO's judicial arm developed to help the member countries solve trade disputes that might arise between them; it also has enforcement mechanisms.When compared to the previous system, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT 1947), DSS is formal and well designed with clear stages and demands more discipline when settling disputes . However, despite the paramount success the system has achieved over the twenty-four years of its existence, the DSU has had various problems.

We understand the latter as the existence of new macroeconomic solidarities. These are attested since about the middle of the 1980s, with the observation of a tripolar world drawn up by Kenichi Ohmae.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The book intends to explain all theories of globalization, as well as to clarify its relations with innovation. Ultimately, the goal of the Safety Management System (SMS) for the airline is to prevent accidents and harm. But aviation operations will always be subject to operational hazards and their associated risks, and the SMS provides a systematic approach for reducing these risks as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) to an acceptable level by reducing their probability and/or consequence.Therefore, the SMS is designed to be a dynamic foundation that goes beyond compliance to continually improve safety performance in practice. Still, this coordinated business approach to safety also provides significant additional benefits, including proactive management of change, operational efficiencies, and employee engagement.However, the airline is a complex organisation with multiple management systems, dispersed operations, many technical functions, highly regulated-overlapping State jurisdiction, and is subject to multiple national regulations. Besides, there are multiple management systems supported by different departments in an airline.

Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Jura - Öffentliches Recht / Sonstiges, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Wie kam es zur Errichtung des Bundesverfassungsgerichts der Bundesrepublik Deutschland als selbstständiges Verfassungsorgan, welche Position sollte es bekleiden und wie sollte es besetzt werden?Originäre Aufgabe und primäre Funktion eines Verfassungsgerichts ist die Einhaltung der geltenden Verfassung eines Landes zu beobachten beziehungsweise auf Antrag zu überprüfen, ob Gesetze, die die Legislative erlassen hat, gegen die bestehende Verfassung verstoßen. Die Leitidee ist unter anderem die Verhinderung von Machtmissbrauch sowie der Schutz der Grundrechte und Minderheiten. Die Richter eines Verfassungsgerichtes sind demnach „Hüter der Verfassung“. Wenn man also ein Verfassungsgericht auf dessen Wächteramt hin untersucht, kann das nur in Zusammenhang mit einer existierenden Verfassung geschehen, denn ohne eine solche wäre ein Verfassungsgericht gleichsam obsolet.

Seminar paper from the year 2024 in the subject Economics - Finance, Addis Ababa University (Department of Public Administration and Development Management), course: Managing Public Finance, language: English, abstract: This study examines Ethiopia's Value Added Tax (VAT) system, its administration, impacts, and significance within the country's economic and public finance landscape. It analyzes how well the VAT system aligns with principles of good taxation, such as equity, efficiency, and revenue generation, and identifies key challenges. The study employs a qualitative approach, reviewing relevant literature, legal/policy documents, and secondary data to understand the theoretical foundations and administrative framework of VAT in Ethiopia. The data collection involved document analysis of reports on implementation challenges and case studies. The findings indicate that the adoption of VAT in 2003 was a key component of Ethiopia's domestic revenue reforms, aimed at reducing reliance on foreign aid and grants. VAT has played a significant role in mobilizing domestic resources to finance development priorities. However, the study also highlights administrative and integration challenges, such as compliance issues, exemptions, and the need to further strengthen tax administration capacity. The study provides recommendations to strengthen VAT collection and compliance, as well as address the identified challenges. These include improving taxpayer education and engagement, enhancing electronic invoicing and data-driven compliance management, and reviewing the VAT exemption structure to better align with principles of equity and efficiency. The analysis of Ethiopia's VAT system offers insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by developing countries in implementing effective consumption-based tax reforms to support sustainable development and public finance management.

Theoretische Grundlagen, die den Anfang der Arbeit bilden, liefern zu beiden Themenbereichen eine fundierte Basis, die sich über Begriffserklärungen, sowie geschichtliche Hintergründe erstreckt. Der Fokus der Arbeit liegt jedoch auf den verschiedenen Arten von Priming, Priming-Techniken und den Auswirkungen von Priming auf das Konsumentenverhalten.Marketing besteht schon seit einem geraumen Zeitraum nicht mehr aus den klassischen Werbe- und Vermarktungsmethoden, die sich über die Jahre hinweg etabliert hatten. Heutzutage tragen viele Bereiche der Neurowissenschaft dazu bei, Wahrnehmung und Werbewirkung von Produkten und Dienstleistung zu verstärken und dem Kunden auf eine Vielzahl von Arten nahezubringen.Mittlerweile ist somit von Neuromarketing die Rede. Mithilfe von Neuromarketing können verschiedene Konzepte und Maßnahmen ausgearbeitet werden, die auf traditionell betriebswirtschaftlicher Ebene aufgrund des Mangels der nötigen Aufmerksamkeit auf diese Bereiche gar nicht zu Stande gekommen wären. Unterbewusste Gefühle, Erfahrungen und Emotionen des Kunden sind Schlüsselkomponenten des Neuromarketings und zeichnen sich als wesentliche Werbeträger aus.

It had been put into practice since the second half of the twentieth century, where the indigenous people, unable to afford the cost of access to justice, were granted legal aid funding with public money. Access to justice is no more prioritised like education, healthcare, and social security to utilise taxpayer’s money, while legal advice cost of barristers and solicitors has accelerated at a higher rate. Although equal opportunity and human rights are the two major focal points of English Legal System, austerity caused by economic downturn made it difficult to balance the spending of public money for common necessities of the society and curtailed legal aid. Thus, access to justice is far away from essential needs, and just a luxury for the poor people, which may bring lawlessness in the society.

Danach wird die Entwicklung des stationären Einzelhandels mit speziellem Blick auf die Verkaufsfläche und auf Shoppingcenter beschrieben. Um auch einen Überblick über den Onlinehandel zu bekommen, werden anschließend die Vor- und Nachteile des Onlinehandels dargelegt. Da es durch das Onlineshopping eine Veränderung im Kaufprozess gab, wird auch dieser neue Kaufprozess beschrieben und die Gründe für diese Veränderung werden genannt. Schließlich werden die Strategien und Maßnahmen des stationären Einzelhandels beschrieben und analysiert. Dabei wird auf verschiedene Innovationen und Neuerungen eingegangen. Am Ende der Arbeit wird ein Fazit gezogen und die Forschungsfrage wird beantwortet.

Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensgründung, Start-ups, Businesspläne, Note: 1,8, Hochschule Aalen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Transformation klassischer Geschäftsmodelle stationärer Händler hin zu digitalen Geschäftsmodellen bringt große Herausforderungen für die gesamte Branche mit sich. Die wissenschaftliche Arbeit zeigt verschiedene digitale Lösungsstrategien für kleine stationäre Einzelhändler auf.Verschiedene Rahmenbedingungen üben Druck auf die Gesamtsituation im stationären Handel aus. Der Wettbewerbsdruck durch den reinen Onlinehandel steigt und auch das Einkaufsverhalten der Kunden hat sich in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten verändert. Die Verkaufsaktivitäten vieler Unternehmen haben sich bereits verändert und es findet eine regelrechte Evolution im Einzelhandel statt.  Es stellt sich dabei die Frage, wie dem Rückgang der Besucherfrequenz und den damit einhergehenden sinkenden Umsatzzahlen des stationären Handels entgegengewirkt werden kann. Ein möglicher Ansatz zur Lösung dieses Problems könnte eine konsequente Ausrichtung auf den Ausbau der Digitalisierung im stationären Einzelhandel sein. An diesem Punkt setzt diese wissenschaftliche Arbeit an. Im Praxisteil werden zunächst Kunden stationärer Einzelhandelsgeschäfte unter anderem zu ihrem Einkaufsverhalten und der Nutzung digitaler Technologien befragt. Im weiteren Verlauf dieser Arbeit beschäftigt sich eine zweite Interviewreihe mit ausgewählten stationären Einzelhandelsgeschäften. Diese werden unter anderem zur aktuellen Geschäftssituation und zum Umgang mit dem veränderten Kundenverhalten befragt. Zuletzt werden auf Basis der Ergebnisse Handlungsempfehlungen zur Nutzung von digitalen Technologien für kleine stationäre Einzelhandelsgeschäfte entwickelt.

Academic Paper from the year 2020 in the subject Business economics - Accounting and Taxes, grade: 1.00, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, language: English, abstract: The study seeks to ascertain the practices of the audit committee and internal audit improving corporate governance among companies in Ghana, with specific attention to analysing the audit committee's impact on improving internal audit operations, identifying the relationship between the internal audit unit and the audit committee members. Moreover, the author analyzes the impact of the internal audit department and audit committee members on the risk management strategy of companies.The author aims to exam the relationship that exists among the audit committee, internal audit, and its part in the corporate governance system. A critical analysis of the circumstances leading to the collapse of businesses shows that the majority of these corporate failures could be avoided if effective audit committees and internal audit departments are in place to check management activities, especially concerning financial reporting and other accounting practices. The study results were obtained by using data gathered from the internal auditors and audit committee members through the questionnaire survey method.
