Marina Hubmann kam mit sieben Jahren in ein SOS-Kinderdorf. Dort sollte sie Geborgenheit und Schutz bekommen. Stattdessen fand sie sich in einem Gefängnis aus Schrecken und Angst wieder.

Marina Hubmann kam mit sieben Jahren in ein SOS-Kinderdorf. Dort sollte das Mädchen, das in der Familie Gewalt und Missbrauch erfahren hatte, Schutz und Geborgenheit finden. Doch sie erwartete die Hölle auf Erden. Jahrelang quälten die „Mütter“ des Kinderdorfs die Kinder. Bald schon war sie in einem Gefängnis aus Schrecken gefangen, in dem die Betreuerinnen unkontrolliert über die Kinder verfügen konnten.

This book reassesses classic Marxist theories of finance capital and uneven development in the context of the present intensified process of financialization and the accentuation of combined and accelerating uneven development. In particular, the work of Hilferding and Luxemburg is discussed and re-framed in light of both the contributions of Marx and more recent engagements by David Harvey and Neil Smith. The book explores the case of South Africa in particular in light of the combination of a rapidly financializing yet crisis-ridden South African political economy on the one hand and intensifying social inequality and political conflict on the other.&nbsp;It explores a series of strategies and possibilities that might open up trajectories for change and transformation with particular attention paid to the promises and constraints of the de-growth movement and intersectional class struggle, which will appeal to political economists, researchers, and students alongside those studying South Africa specifically. Patrick Bond is a political economist and professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He spent more than two decades teaching at the Wits University School of Governance in Johannesburg and the University of KwaZulu-Natal Centre for Civil Society in Durban. During the late 1980s he pursued doctoral studies in economic geography at Johns Hopkins University, while learning politics in the anti-apartheid, labour, student and community movements. In 1994 and 1996, he worked in the Reconstruction and Development Ministry in President Nelson Mandela’s office, drafting the democratic government’s first White Paper and a dozen other major policy documents. Mehr als 30 Jahre lang wurde Leasing durch den Standard IAS 17 geregelt. IAS 17 unterschied dabei vor allem nach Operating-Leasing und Finanzierungsleasing. Dabei wurde beim Leasingnehmer ein Operating-Leasing bilanzneutral, das heißt ohne Auswirkungen auf die Bilanz dargestellt. Über verschiedene Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten ergab sich damit für den Bilanzierenden durchaus die Möglichkeit, Leasing-Verhältnisse so zu gestalten, dass sie nicht in die Bilanz aufgenommen werden mussten. Als Reaktion auf die Kritik an diesen Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten hat der IASB bereits im Jahr 2006 eine Reform der Leasingbilanzierung angestoßen. Das Ergebnis ist der 2016 veröffentlichte IFRS 16. Dieser Standard unterscheidet nicht mehr zwischen Operating-Leasing und Finanzierungsleasing. Stattdessen wird für alle Leasingverhältnisse ein Nutzungsrecht und eine entsprechende Verbindlichkeit erfasst. IFRS 16 ist verpflichtend auf Jahresabschlüsse für Geschäftsjahre anzuwenden, die nach 31.12.2018 beginnen. Die Reform der Leasingbilanzierung wird eine erhebliche Herausforderung für nach IFRS bilanzierende Unternehmen darstellen. Dieses Buch bereitet die Bilanzierenden auf die anstehende Standardänderung optimal vor und bietet sichere Unterstützung bei der Umsetzung der neuen Normen.
