The starting point and the limit of a new conception of §§ 1591 ff. BGB should be the best interests of the child. The present work examines modern family forms in terms of their suitability for the best interests of the child and presents concrete regulatory proposals on how a modern ¿Law of Parent-Child Relationship¿ could be modeled, also with regard to surrogacy and multiple parenthood.
