The scientific management approach is a philosophy that aims to improve the efficiency of industrial processes and labour productivity by applying scientific principles and methods. One of the main features of the classical scientific management approach is the separation of planning and execution. Managers are responsible for planning the work, and workers are responsible for executing the work. This division of labour is designed to ensure that each worker is doing the job they are best suited for and that tasks are completed efficiently.
