 Während die Welt auf China blickt, wird Taiwan oft übersehen. Dabei leben hier Menschen, die seit Generationen darum ringen, gehört zu werden – zwischen kolonialem Erbe, chinesischem Druck und demokratischem Aufbruch. Vieles, was wir über Taiwan zu wissen glauben, ist geprägt von alten Narrativen, gezielter Propaganda und hartnäckigen Missverständnissen. 
 
 David Demes, der seit über 10 Jahren in Taiwan lebt und als Journalist arbeitet, will diese Perspektive korrigieren.
