Patterns of Economic Change by State and Area: Income, Employment, and Gross Domestic Product is a special edition of Business Statistics of the United States. It presents data on personal income, employment, and gross domestic product for the United States as a whole, and by region, state, and metropolitan statistical area (MSA). Data on personal income and employment extends back to 1960 for the states and regions and to 1970 for the MSAs. Patterns of Economic Change complements other Bernan Press titles such as the State and Metropolitan Area Data Book and County and City Extra. In contrast to their predominantly current and detailed cross-section data on states and metropolitan areas, this book contributes historical time-series measurements of key aggregates that show how the economies of regions, states, and metropolitan areas have responded over time to cyclical currents and long-term trends. Statistics at the state level provide a framework for analyzing current economic conditions in each state and can serve as a basis for decision making. For example: ·Federal government agencies use the statistics as a basis for allocating funds and determining matching grants to states.  Sebastián Álvarez
 is Professor at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile and Associate Researcher at the Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland. His work explores the history of finance and banking in Latin America, with particular attention to how capital markets shape economic policy and international relations. He is the author of 
 Mexican Banks and Foreign Finance
 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019).
 Ezequiel Spector
 is Research Professor and Director of the Master of Arts program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Adolfo Ibáñez University in Chile. He is the author of

 is Associate Professor of Economic History at the University of Alcala, Spain. His academic interests are related to agriculture and its main transformations in a long term perspective.  Vicente Pinilla 
 is Professor in Economic History at the University of Zaragoza and researcher at the Instituto Agroalimentario de Aragon, in Spain. His research interests are in international trade, agricultural products, long-term agricultural changes, environmental history, wine economics and depopulation processes and policies.
 Jackeline Velazco-Portocarrero
 is an Associate Professor of Economics affiliated with the University of Girona (Spain) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies, with a specialization in agricultural and rural development, from the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague. She obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester and a PhD in Economic History from the University of Barcelona. Her research focuses on the long-term analysis of agrarian productivity from a Latin American perspective, the role of agriculture in economic growth, urban–rural linkages over time, and the importance of non-farm rural activities within family farming systems.
 Henry Willebald
 is a faculty member of Economic Institute (IECON), Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y de Administración (FCEA), Universidad de la República, Uruguay, and Full Professor in Economic History and Economic Development.&nbsp; His research interests are in modern economic growth in settler economies and Latin American countries, diverse dimensions of economic development at national and regional level, inequality, productive specialization, natural resources and sustainability. Persistence, Evolution and Change in Latin American Agriculture, Volume II

The Second Republic is a comprehensive institutional blueprint for India's transition into a developed economy (Viksit Bharat) by 2047. The law codes in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region are a well-crafted blend of civil and Islamic law in which civil law principles do not violate Islamic provisions. Yet, common law principles derived either from English common law or Islamic customary usages remain unidentified and thus ignored. Here, this complex scenario is rectified through a comparative analysis of the primary data (e.g. cases, statutes and arbitral award decisions), adding common law and uncodified Islamic custom to MENA law codes. The purpose of this comparative analysis is to allow common legal principles found in civil, common and Islamic law to be distilled in order to create a new, harmonised international commercial arbitration law code (HICALC) or uniform Arab arbitration law (UAAL) for adoption in the MENA region, where these principles already greatly influence the legal systems and can be readily assimilated into a harmonised or uniform code. The work demonstrates that this new code would lead to improved arbitral award enforcement in the MENA.
