Clark Varin is a developing-world entrepreneur and investor. He is the co-founder of Muvule Financing, a microfinance institution in Uganda, and Teach A Man To Fish, a US 501(c)3 nonprofit microfinance fund. The book presents a detailed critique of the UK framework for the regulation of these systems drawing where possible on existing data to assess the use and effectiveness of these measures in practice.
