Suspension and resumption of a criminal investigation
The relevance of this research topic lies in the fact that, in most cases, the objectives of criminal proceedings remain unfulfilled, and the rights and legitimate interests of certain categories of individuals involved in the criminal process are violated. These circumstances justify the need for a significant improvement in the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies' activities aimed at taking measures to eliminate the circumstances that hinder the timely conclusion of proceedings. The first chapter examines general theoretical issues regarding the institution of suspension and resumption of preliminary investigation. The second chapter is devoted to the activities of investigative authorities in connection with the suspension and resumption of preliminary investigations. The third chapter examines the practice of applying suspension and resumption of investigations in the criminal justice system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
