Social Drinking, Community Cohesion and Third Places

Based on a research project of many years standing, Ignazio Cabras explores, examines and elaborates on the relationship between social drinking and third places, presenting substantial evidence with regard to the impact their combination may have on the levels of community cohesion and wellbeing within local communities. In the United Kingdom and many other countries, the emphasis is on the role of the public house (or, more commonly, pub) in regional and rural development.
