Robert Dixon Herman (September 24, 1911 - April 5, 1990) was a United States federal judge. Herman was born in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. He received an A.B. from Bucknell University in 1935. He received an LL.B. from Cornell Law School in 1938. He was in private practice in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania from 1938 to 1958. He was an Assistant district attorney of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania from 1942 to 1944. He was a U.S. Naval Reserve Lieutenant, JAG Corps from 1944 to 1946. He was a Member, Pennsylvania General Assembly from 1948 to 1950. He was a Solicitor, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania from 1950 to 1957. He was a judge on the Dauphin County, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas from 1957 to 1970. He was a judge on the Dauphin County, Pennsylvania Juvenile Court from 1965 to 1970.
