On the glittering streets of New York is the city's worst kept secret: the mob. And Natasha Nicastro is at the centre of it all.

Seventeen-year-old Tasha might look like your classic high school mean girl but beneath the designer bags, expensive jewellery and Queen Bee status is a sharpshooter who knows how to bring anyone to their knees. But when a masked shooter from a mysterious new gang murders Tasha's father, mother, and beloved older sister, Tasha pushes aside her grief and vows to get revenge. To do so, she'll need to team up with the one person she thought she could never stand: Leo Danesi, whose family also has everything to lose.

As the bitter rivals put aside old grievances to hunt through the glittering streets and dark alleys of New York, they do their best to ignore the forbidden attraction that keeps growing between them, all the while realising that their new enemy's power runs deeper than they could have possibly imagined.

But Tasha is a Nicastro. She's been raised in the company of killers, and there's absolutely nothing she won't do to avenge her family and take her place as the Nicastro's first female boss. That is, if the Salvators don't get to her first.
