Processes of urban development are always accompanied by social struggles. The authors of this volume shed light on current discourses in the Global City Frankfurt am Main from the perspective of academia, social movements and civil society initiatives and discuss in vivid formats which structural conditions, social power relations and powerful actors shape the Main metropolis. They analyse how neoliberal and authoritarian tendencies create social exclusion. By focusing on the diverse struggles, they also show ways for a solidary and democratic city for all.
