In today's complex and uncertain world, urban and territorial resilience is vital. From natural and human-made disasters to climate change and globalization, cities and regions face challenges that demand preparedness, adaptability, and transformability, i.e., the capacity to absorb shocks. As social-ecological and complex adaptive systems, they must strengthen their ability to respond and transform. Cultural heritage is increasingly recognized as a territorial asset that enhances resilience by providing identity, tangible resources, and historical knowledge useful for risk prevention and management. In the 21st century, heritage-whether underwater, rural, or embedded in urban space -is seen not as a remnant of the past but as a living system and a source of identity, creativity, economic innovation, cohesion, and environmental sustainability. This Reprint responds to the need to rethink the role of heritage in building resilience by assembling twelve articles that examine its activation across diverse geographic contexts (marine, urban, rural, etc.). The contributions converge on a pivotal argument: heritage must shift from a preservation-focused paradigm to one of active contribution, becoming a strategic asset within place-based development and a driver of new economic activities and innovation. What are the everyday life strategies of single mothers that help to effectivelycope with daily hardships? What modes of resistance are employed, articulated or imagined by single mothers as they navigate their dailyroutines?This is the premise of the study that offers an in-depth ethnographic studyof well-educated single mothers in Kaunas, Lithuania - a post-socialistsemi-periphery marked by structural precarity. Through feminist activistethnography, this thesis examines how single mothers develop material, emotional, and social strategies to survive and care within conditionsshaped by neoliberalism, insufficient welfare systems, and societal stigma.The concept of care is placed at the centre of this dissertation, highlightingcare labour as often unpaid and invisibilized, yet - central to single mothers'lives, constituting both a burden and a potential site of resistance. This thesisalso examines how normative ideals of family, motherhood, and successintersect with class, gender, and labour to shape women's lived experiences.

pour la Promotion de l'Emploi des Jeunes (APEJ), de la Fédération Nationale des Artisans du Mali (CT/FNAM), de SWISSCONTACT (FIBANI/PAFP), du projet EJOM (Consortium SNV-APEJ), du Projet Amélioration de la Compétitivité des Entreprises par la Formation Professionnelle (ACEFOR2/MENEFP) et de PROMAN (DDRK-Kidal/DDRG-Gao). Il est imprégné des dynamiques du développement économique régional car il a participé de manière significative, en tant que chargé de formation professionnelle puis conseiller technique, chargé du développement social et culturel au Conseil Régional de Sikasso, à l'élaboration et à la concrétisation de documents stratégiques majeurs notamment la 1ère génération du Schéma Directeur Régional de la Formation Professionnelle et Technique pour l'Emploi. La diversité de son expérience témoigne de son engagement continu dans des initiatives liées à la formation professionnelle, à l'entrepreneuriat, à l'emploi et au développement économique régional.
Mohamed SOGODOGO pursued university studies in Bamako, Paris, and Dakar. He has a wealth of experience gained through his work with organizations including the Agency for the Promotion of Youth Employment (APEJ), the National Federation of Artisans of Mali (CT/FNAM), SWISSCONTACT (FIBANI/PAFP), the EJOM project (SNV-APEJ Consortium), the Project for Improving Business Competitiveness through Vocational Training (ACEFOR2/MENEFP), and PROMAN (DDRK-Kidal/DDRG-Gao). He is deeply familiar with the dynamics of regional economic development, having played a significant role, first as a vocational training officer and then as a technical advisor responsible for social and cultural development at the Sikasso Regional Council, in the development and implementation of key strategic documents, notably the first generation of the Regional Master Plan for Vocational and Technical Training for Employment. The diversity of his experience testifies to his continuous commitment to initiatives related to vocational training, entrepreneurship, employment and regional economic development.
