This thesis contributes to our understanding of new leadership techniques in the 21st century.The Changes due to rising Digitalization are immense – for both economic and social perspectives. Digital technologies have profoundly transformed people's daily lives in the last years, especially in organizations. Leadership is needed to introduce change and innovation. Therefore managers are focusing on recreating the structure of a company from old command structures to new ways of leading techniques. In this connection, managers not only need to focus on communication among one another, but they also need to change how organizational members work and collaborate. However, when the leadership style does not align with the digital transformation or when the strategy is ineffective, problems may emerge, which could impact the organization in negative ways. Sooner or later, every company has to adapt to the new industrial revolution. Therefore industry 4.0 came out as a result of digital transformation in the corporate world.
