Desiree Zecha deals with the thesis that there are verbal forms in ancient Hebrew which describe a logical or chronological sequence (the "tempora consecutive" wayyiqtol and weqatal). In addition to examining the history of research from the late Middle Ages onwards, these verbal forms in Genesis to Kings are analyzed in relation to this thesis.
