The youth movement of the German National Association of Commercial Employees’ (DHV) German, the salaried employees’ union, was known as the Wandering Journeymen (Fahrende Gesellen). This study examines the practices, worldview, and social backgrounds of the adolescents and young members who were active in the organization between 1909 and 1933.
