'The Pastiche Under Sec. 51a German Copyright Act (UrhG) and the Permissibility of User-Generated Content': The pastiche exception according to sec. 51a of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) closes a long-standing gap in the field of artistic reuse in copyright law. This work presents an analysis of the new regulation from the perspective of German and Union law, which has been little examined so far. It presents a practice-oriented definition of the pastiche exception and clarifies its possible applications in the analog and digital environment, particularly with regard to user-generated content.
