This study guide provides the teacher with extensive material which has been tested in the classroom. It presents issues relevant for understanding the protagonists' situations: the American South and the civil rights movement; the Freedom Summer of 1964; racial pro?ling; lynching; police violence. Worksheets, statistics, photos and exam-related tasks help students explore the issue of racial inequality and how to deal with it.
