Nach ihren ähnlich konzipierten Gedichtbänden zu Christian Morgenstern ('Abendstern zum Morgenstern', 2023) und Joachim Ringelnatz ('Ringelnatz und Schlingelfratz', 2019) befasst sich die Künstlerin und Autorin Claudia C. Parise diesmal mit Kurt Tucholsky (1890-1935), einem der bedeutendsten deutschen Schriftsteller der Weimarer Republik.
In etwa sechzig 'Tucholsky in Parise'-Gedichten, wie die Autorin diese nennt, lässt sie sich von Gedichten Tucholskys als Vorlagen anregen, wobei diese Anverwandlungen jeweils von einem unmittelbar folgenden, unverkennbar typischen Parise-Gedicht begleitet werden, 'um Tucholsky wieder ganz abzuschütteln', wie die Autorin uns wissen lässt. So entsteht nach und nach ein reizvoll-spannendes Gesamt von kreativ-ideenreicher Nachahmung und unbestreitbar eigenständiger Originalität, das Satire, Ulk und Witz, ja, selbst Spott und Hohn à la Tucholsky alles andere als vermissen lässt, weder in den auf heutige deutsche Verhältnisse bezogenen und oftmals bissigen gesellschaftskritischen Gedichten noch in den pazifistisch-antimilitaristischen, oder wenn es darum geht, überkommene Moralvorstellungen zurechtzustutzen. Alles in allem: ein wieder einmal anregendes, unbedingt lesenswertes Werk der C. C. Parise!

This book covers key topics regarding the research and creation of personas across cultures for human-computer interaction (HCI).&nbsp;Through empirical cases studies, it examines a breadth of approaches, challenges and reflections on personas deployed in different locales over time.Personas&nbsp;have been artefacts of&nbsp;enquiry&nbsp;and praxis since Alan Cooper brought them to mainstream technology design.&nbsp;Yet, their&nbsp;study&nbsp;and emergence across cultures have been little explored –least of all synthesised in a monograph,&nbsp;this book fills that gap.It consolidates the body of work on persona studies conducted in a variety of locations in India, Brazil, Kyrgyzstan, Namibia, Vietnam, Chile, Mozambique, Malaysia and South Africa, drawing upon two somewhat competing, if complementary methodologies: User-Centred Design and Participatory Design. Pursuing a new global approach, this unique book provides an updated review of the geology of Iberia and its continental margins from a geodynamic perspective. Owing to its location close to successive plate margins, Iberia has played a pivotal role in the geodynamic evolution of the Gondwanan, Rheic, Pangea, Tethys s.l. and Eurasian plates over the last 600 Ma of Earth’s history. The geological record begins with the amalgamation of Gondwana in the Neoproterozoic, followed by the rifting and spread of the Rheic ocean; its demise, which led to the amalgamation of Pangea in the late Paleozoic; the rifting and spread of several arms of the Neotethys ocean in the Mesozoic Era; and concludes with their ongoing closure, which was responsible for the Alpine orogeny. The significant advances made in the past 20 years have attracted considerable international research interest in the geology of the Iberian Peninsula.&nbsp;This volume is the only one of the whole series of books composing the Geology of Iberian separated in two parts: Introduction to the Geology of Iberian and the Cadomian Cycle. The first part presents a general introduction to the Geology of Iberian, presented in five different volumes. The second part focuses in the Cadomian orogenic cycle and the oldest geological records in the Iberian Peninsula.

Public diplomacy matters to the G20. As the self declared 'premier international forum for economic cooperation', the G20 has global interests and ambitions. The G20 requires the ongoing engagement and support of global public audiences. Simply put, it is a matter of effectiveness, legitimacy and credibility. Yet as an informal, nomadic institution that brings together a diverse array of high profile actors, global, interests and issues, the G20 also presents unique opportunities and challenges to public diplomacy's agenda. The wider narrative of the G20 as an inclusive institution capable of involving publics in the process of global change is underexplored. This book asserts that public diplomacy is the key to the G20's ongoing development, and proposes a fourth phase to John Kirton's (2013), current three phased approach: the mobilization of the many. By examining the many facets of G20 public diplomacy, Byrne contributes to the evolving understanding of the G20 while offering new insights on the evolving practice of public diplomacy beyond the traditional state-centric perspective.

Students need to recognize and understand the many complex interactions among these pathways that may be compromising a patient's physical and/or mental health. 2) Patient behavior - centers on behavioral pathways to promoting health and preventing disease. Educating medical students about behaviors that pose a risk to health will better equip them to provide appropriate interventions and influence patient behavior. 3) Physician role and behavior - emphasizes the physician's personal background and beliefs as they may affect patient care, as well as the physician's own well-being. 4) Physician-patient interactions - focuses on the ability to communicate effectively, which, as noted above, is a critical component of medical practice. 5) Social and cultural issues in health care - addresses what physicians need to know and do to provide appropriate care to patients with differing social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. 6) Health policy and economics - includes those topics to which medical students should be exposed to help them understand the health care system in which they will eventually practice. Currently, many medical educators are required to piece together readings and other teaching materials to satisfy the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) requirements for behavioral and social science content in medical education. This volume is designed to satisfy LCME content requirements with the latest evidence-based materials in the social and behavioral sciences.
