Advanced Remote Sensing

Remote sensing is a strongly interdisciplinary field and includes all of the geosciences. Currently, there is no single source of advanced data gathering and assimilation techniques available. Advanced Remote Sensing will be the first to fill this need with a thorough, detailed, and implementable remote sensing reference. It presents state-of-the-art techniques for estimating land surface variables from a variety of data types, including optical sensors such as RADAR and LIDAR. While rigorous enough for the most experienced scientists, the techniques are well designed and integrated, making the book's content intuitive, clearly presented, and practical in its implementation.
